TRAVELLING

                                                                TRAVELLING

Why is travel important?

  • This is a big reason why travel is important. Being thrust into a way of life completely different from what you know back home can push you out of your comfort zone, help you develop new skills, and give you a sense of independence and self-reliance. It can also help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your place in the world.
  • Traveling allows you to meet people of different cultures, with diverse traditions and distinctive lifestyles. As you travel and discover these newly found worlds, take a moment to reflect not only on the differences that you observe in their lifestyle and behavior but on the things that unite us.
  • Spending time with people from other cultures is so valuable, as it allows you to widen your perspective and understand the world a little better. Travel gives you an appreciation for other ways of life, and encourages us to celebrate and embrace both our similarities and our differences.

  • Why should you travel alone?
    • Everything is new and captivating to your curiosity. The benefit of this is you are eager to learn new things and open to new ideas and concepts. This will naturally lead to the urge to open your mind and practice your people skills, whether you travel alone or with someone else.
    • There are so many different reasons why we believe that solo travel is incredibly beneficial. Advantages of solo travel include it broadens your horizons, forces you out of your comfort zone, gives you the opportunity to meet new people, and creates new memories.

    • Why should you travel to a new country?
      • Travelling is when creativity comes into play in your daily communication. When you travel to a new country, there are situations where you would have to use not only verbal communication but also gestures and other non-verbal ways to express yourself.
      • Traveling abroad can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. We can't stress the importance of travel enough—it can open your eyes to new cultures, perspectives, and ways of living, and can help you grow and develop in ways you never thought possible.

      • Why should you travel to new places?
        • Traveling to new places allows you to break out of your comfort zone and take on new experiences and challenges as you learn more about the world. They say we learn the most when we are uncomfortable. This could not be more true when traveling. You empathize with the people around you as you understand different cultures and societal norms.
        • Too much stress isn't good for your mental health and taking a break once in awhile can protect you from further mental health issues, such as depression. Visiting new places is also a great way to keep your brain active. When you're young, you're learning all the time.

      • Does traveling make you healthier?

        • According to a joint study from the Global Commission on Aging and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, in partnership with the U.S. Travel Association, traveling actually keeps you healthier.
          • One's mind is continuously engaged in several activities while on road or in vehicle . Any kind of multi-tasking can lead to stress, eventually harming health. Studies have said that if one travels for more than 2-3 hours a day, it can harm his/her physical, mental and social health.”

          • A related concept, tied to becoming more self-aware and having more exposure to different perspectives, is what psychologists call “cognitive flexibility”, or the ability to jump between ideas. Travel keeps our minds “flexible” because it challenges our set ways of doing and seeing things.

          • How difficult is travel in modern times?

            • Travel in modern times may or may not be much easier, depending upon the destination. Travel to Mount Everest, the Amazon rainforest, extreme tourism, and adventure travel are more difficult forms of travel. Travel can also be more difficult depending on the method of travel, such as by bus, cruise ship, or even by bullock cart.
            • Most people have worked hard to save up money for a trip and therefore feel they need to maximize every dollar which can also be stressful. Worrying about the costs associated with the vacation makes it difficult to enjoy the experience, and things are often even worse once you come home and have to pay the bills.
            • In the survey, respondents said the most stressful part of air travel was boarding the plane. That, my fellow travelers, is because of carry-on luggage. I've seen people nearly come to blows over mere inches of overhead bin real estate for their carry-ons.
